DAY 1: BUCHAREST – SINAIA – BRAN

Arrival at the International Airport Bucharest Otopeni where you will be met by your guide. Transfer to Bran. On the way, you will visit Sinaia. Home to the splendid Peles Castle, Sinaia is located at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains. Although the Sinaia monastery has existed here since the 17th century, Sinaia becomes famous at the end of 19th c., when became the summer residence of the first king of Romania, Carol I, which popularized the town. Visit Peles Castle, a fine example of German Renaissance style of architecture, with elaborately-decorated rooms. Accommodation in a 4* hotel in Bran.

DAY 2: BRAN – BRASOV – SIGHISOARA

Breakfast. In the morning, you will visit Bran Castle. The fortress is situated on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Commonly known as "Dracula's Castle" (although it is one among several locations linked to the Dracula legend, including Poenari Castle and Hunyad Castle), it is marketed as the home of the titular character in Bram Stoker's Dracula. The castle is now a museum open to tourists, displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie. Tourists can see the interior individually or by a guided tour. At the bottom of the hill is a small open air museum park exhibiting traditional Romanian peasant structures (cottages, barns, etc.) from across the country.

The after-noon is dedicated to one of the most beautiful medieval citadel in Romania: Sighisoara. It is the only medieval citadel in Europe that is still fully inhabited; mentioned in 1280 as “Castrum Sex”. Detalied tour of the citadel, including the Tower Museum, the Cover Stairs, the Church on the Hill. Feel the attractions of the Torture Room and visit the Mediaeval Weapons Collection. Visit the house where is supposing that Vlad “Dracula” was born (now a cozy restaurant).

DAY 3: SIGHISOARA – BAIA MARE

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Baia Mare inclusing visit to the Mineralogy Museum, Stephan’s Tower, Butcher’s Bastion. Accommodation at a 3* hotel in Baia Mare.

DAY 4: BAIA MARE – SAPANTA- BARSANA – IEUD - BORSA – GURA HUMORULUI

Breakfast. Visit the Merry Cemetery, unique in the world for its happy epitaphs carved on the funerary monuments by the local craftsman Stan Patras and the open-air handicrafts exhibition.

Short breaks in Barsana and Ieud for seeing the famous wooden churches from Maramures. (The wooden church from Barsana is the tallest wooden building in Europe, 62 metters). Other objectives: all around the Historical Maramures, you can admire one of the eldest European civilizations, with a lot of Dacians and pre-Christians symbols; the area is famous for wooden-carved gates, handicrafts and woodcrafts. DAY 5: GURA HUMORULUI – SUCEVITA – MOLDOVITA – VORONET – PIATRA NEAMT

Breakfast. Visit, in a full-day trip, the most important UNESCO monuments: the monasteries with outdoor frescoes of Sucevita, Moldovita, Voronet (the most important, also called “The Sixtine Chapel of the East”, well known for its “blue of Voronet”), Humor and Arbore. In Campulung Moldovenesc you will visit the Museum of Woodcraft. Accommodation at a 3* hotel in Piatra Neamt.

DAY 6: PIATRA NEAMT – RED LAKE – BRAN

Breakfast. On the route to Bran, we go through Bicaz Gorges (the most impressive gorges in Romania) and reach the Red Lake Resort (natural lake, unique in Romania). Accommodation at a 4* hotel in Bran.

DAY 7: BRAN – BUCHAREST

Breakfast. Today you will make a sightseeing tour of the Bucharest, including: The Vlad the Impaler’ Old Princely Court; the Archbishop’s Church and Palace, the Palace of Parliament (also called the “House of the People”), second largest building in the world, after the building of US Pentagon.

DAY 8: BUCHAREST - AIRPORT

Breakfast. Depending on your flight schedule, you will have free time for shopping or transfer to the Henri Coanda International Airport, Otopeni.
